The demise of Comrade Raj Singh Malout is an irreparable loss - State Committee IFTUC.

Nawanshar- The State Committee of Federation of Indian Trade Unions (IFTUC) Punjab has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of IFTUC State Secretary and Central Committee Member Raj Singh Malout. It is noteworthy that Raj Singh Malout was suffering from liver cancer, which was diagnosed very late. He was undergoing treatment at a private cancer hospital in Bathinda, where he died on the night of 23-24 June.

IFTUC State President Kulwinder Singh Waraich, Vice President Ramesh Rana, Press Secretary Jasbir Deep, Assistant Secretary Avtar Singh Tari and Treasurer Juginderpal Gurdaspur expressed grief and said that the demise of Comrade Raj Singh Hona has caused a great loss to the family as well as the trade union movement.
He played an important role in building the revolutionary trade union movement. He organized unorganized workers and involved them in struggles. He organized the workers associated with the construction sector and established the Nirman Mason Mazdoor Sangathan. He got the rights of the neglected labourers of this region.
Despite his poor health, he remained active for the interests of the working class. IITTU state committee members Jagseer Muktsar, Dilip Kumar Fazilka, Ram Kishan Muktsar, Sukhdev Gurdaspur, Tarsem Jattpur and Shrinath Patiala have also expressed deep grief over his demise.
