Garhshankar: Today on 7/12/2024, the block level meeting of Punjab Pensioners Welfare Association was held under the chairmanship of Sathi Saroop Chand Tehsil General Secretary Garhshankar Ji. Addressing the meeting, Mr. Saroop Chand Ji shed light on the discussions held in the quarterly meeting of District Body Hoshiarpur on December 3, 2024 and other issues under consideration. 
In the meeting, the organizational struggles carried out by employees and pensioners in the past, especially the flag marches and rallies held in the four by-elections of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, were discussed. But if we think about these achievements and the 4 percent DA given by the Punjab Government, it is a proverb that is like cumin in the mouth of a camel. Be it any party, be it the government! Comrades, we have been getting our dues in the past and today only because of our struggles. We need to strengthen our unity further. 
We should attend the meeting on Pensioner Day on December 17, 2024 at Parbhat Hotel, Hoshiarpur in large numbers and listen to the views of our leaders. Addressing the meeting, Babu Parmanand expressed his views on the harsh comments made by the honorable courts on the writs in the past and the affidavit given by the Punjab government regarding the due rights of the pensioners. Comrade Balwant Ram, in his address, expressed the intention and policy of the government to keep the employees and pensioners deprived of their due rights. 
He appealed to the comrades to contribute with all their heart and soul to the struggles carried out in the past and the struggles being planned by the High Command in the future. Finally, Saathi Jagdish Rai thanked all the colleagues and endorsed the issues discussed in the meeting. 
The meeting ended with a beautiful ghazal presented by Ghazalgo Saathi Sham Sundar Kapoor Ji on the ideology of Baba Nanak Ji. Shi Parmanand, Rattan Singh, Malkiat Ram, Gurmeet Ram, Joga Ram, Jagdish Rai, Sham Sundar Kapoor, Roshan Lal Verma, Harbhajan Singh, Saroop Chand, Balwant Ram, Rajinder Singh, Mukhtiar Ram, Roop Lal, Mehnag Ram, Gurpyara and Dalbir Singh were present in today's meeting.
