Family Planning Association of India celebrates its 76th Foundation Day.

SAS Nagar, July 23- Family Planning Association of India celebrated its 76th Foundation Day today at its Mohali branch located in Phase 3A. Municipal Councillor Jaspreet Kaur, Mohali, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

In her address, she said that she is highly impressed with the social welfare work done by the Family Planning Association of India in various fields, especially in the areas of women’s health and campaigns against drug abuse, as the volunteers of the organisation contribute to social service with full dedication. She said that she has been attending the events of the organisation earlier also and the commitment of the volunteers towards their work is clearly visible.
On the occasion, social worker Raja Kanwarjot Singh, Mohali, assured full support to the organisation and said that the government has been creating awareness among middle class families under the long-running “Hum Do Hamare Do” campaign. 
However, now the situation is such that these families are limited to only one child, due to which families are shrinking further. He warned that like China, India may also have to make people aware about the need for at least two children.
The Chairman of the organization Vinod Kapoor said that the association actively contributes to the campaigns run by the government on sexual health, women's health, AIDS, anti-drug and other campaigns.
On this occasion, the staff and volunteers of the organization presented a colourful cultural program. In the end, the Manager of Mohali Branch Rajesh Bari thanked the guests.
On this occasion, among others, former presidents of the branch IPS Bajwa, Parminder Singh, Simran Singh, Ramnik Kaur and other dignitaries were present.
