Hoshiarpur- MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa honoured the milk producing members of the society by distributing bonus cheques in a programme organised by Shri Guru Ravidas Nagar Milk Producer Cooperative Society. He said that other milk producers should also avail such benefits by joining Verka's cooperative societies.
The MLA said that Milk Plant Hoshiarpur has given bonus cheques worth lakhs of rupees to the members of milk producing cooperative societies as per the rules of the society, under which today 61 members of the society have been honoured by giving about Rs 9.64 lakh as bonus.
During this, Brahm Shankar Jimpa appealed to the milk producers to produce clean milk and give it to Verka Milk Producer Cooperative Society. He said that this work done by Verka Milk Plant to encourage milk producers is commendable, due to which more milk producers will join Verka in future. He said that Punjab government is committed to solve every problem of milk producers.
Manager of Milk Plant Hoshiarpur Navtej Singh Riyar shared information about the benefits and methods of clean milk production with the members of the society. Mayor Surinder Kumar, Councillor Amrik Singh, Des Raj, Sandeep Chechi and other members of the society were also present on the occasion.
