Una blooms in spring colours on Republic Day

Una, January 26- On the 76th Republic Day of India, Una district was seen blooming in the spring colors. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri hoisted the national flag in the district level function organized in the ground of Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Una. During this, he took the salute of the attractive march past conducted by the women and men contingents of police and home guards and cadets of NCC, NSS, Scouts and Guides.

During this, the Deputy Chief Minister while addressing the program congratulated the people of the state on Republic Day. He said that 26 January is a proud day for all Indians. On this day in 1950, the great Constitution of India came into effect and the dream of democracy in the country came true. He paid homage to the Constitution makers as well as all the freedom fighters, remembering their sacrifices, and also paid tribute to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives to keep the country's independence intact. He said that the Constitution provides equal opportunities for development and progress to all the countrymen without any discrimination. He said that the power of democracy lies in the Constitution itself.

Prosperity in public life due to water power
The Deputy Chief Minister said that continuous work is being done to bring prosperity in the lives of people through Jal Shakti in the state. About 4 thousand 500 crore rupees are being spent on drinking water and irrigation works in the state. At the same time, works are going on in Una district on schemes worth about one thousand crores for drinking water and irrigation. He said that the state government is committed to providing employment to the youth, for which 10 thousand recruitments are being done in the Jal Shakti department in the state itself.

Solar Energy Capital Una
Mr Agnihotri said that Una is among the fastest developing districts in the country. We are committed to speed up development here. Una is being developed as a solar energy capital. Solar projects of around 153 MW capacity are being set up in the district. These projects cost around Rs 600 crore. A 32 MW solar energy project has been set up in Pekhubela of Una. The construction work of 10 MW Aghalor solar energy project and 5 MW Bhanjal solar energy project has almost been completed. Apart from this, people in the private sector are also coming forward to set up solar energy projects. Projects of around 80 MW capacity are being set up in the private sector.

Bulk Drug Park project a revolutionary beginning
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Bulk Drug Park project being built in Haroli assembly constituency of Una district at a cost of Rs 2000 crore is a revolutionary beginning not only for our district but for the entire state. The central and state governments will invest Rs 1000 crore each in this. Works worth Rs 66 crore of Jal Shakti Department related to the Bulk Drug Park project have been completed. Its electrical work is in progress. Tenders are being floated for works worth more than Rs 450 crore.

Kutlahar will be developed as a world class tourism destination
The Deputy Chief Minister said that to promote tourism activities in the district, Kutlahar will be developed as a world-class tourism destination by promoting tourism along with Govind Sagar Lake. Multidimensional steps will be taken soon in this regard.
Apart from this, the construction work of PGI Satellite Centre being built in Malahat of Una district is progressing rapidly. The state government is fully cooperating so that people can start getting its facilities soon.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that the channelization work of Swan river has been done in Una at a cost of about Rs 1500 crore. Due to this, thousands of acres of land have been reclaimed and farmers have got great benefit from it. Apart from this, there are prestigious institutions like Triple IT in Una, which are creating a global identity of Una in the field of education and research.

A beautiful building of Mata Shri Chintapurni temple will be constructed with 250 crore rupees
Shri Agnihotri said that to give a grand look to Mata Shri Chintapurni temple, we are going to build a beautiful temple building with an expenditure of about 250 crore rupees. Apart from this, other development works are being done there including providing necessary facilities to the devotees.
He also congratulated the people of Una city for getting the status of Municipal Corporation and appealed to all the people for their participation in giving full shape to the Municipal Corporation.

700 new buses in HRTC soon
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Himachal Road Transport Corporation is working like the lifeline of the state. Providing quality services to the people is the supreme responsibility of the corporation. Therefore, the use of new technology is being ensured to make the working style of HRTC efficient. The state government is going to purchase 700 new buses so that people can get better travel facilities.

World's second longest ropeway network to be built in Shimla
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the state is also moving ahead in the direction of ropeway construction. The country's second longest ropeway is being built in Shimla at a cost of Rs 1734 crore. Its tender process will be completed by March. Apart from being India's largest ropeway network project, it will also become the world's second largest ropeway network project.

Mandli-Lathiani road and bridge project worth 871 crores
He said that the state government is committed to further strengthen the road network in Una district. Mandli-Lathiani bridge and road will be constructed in Bangana at a cost of about 871 crores. Apart from this, the construction work of Pandoga-Tyudi bridge at a cost of Rs 52 crore and Loharli-Churudu bridge at a cost of 44 crores is being done at a fast pace so that people can get the facility of better road network. Along with this, about 11 bridges are being constructed in Una district at a cost of 228 crores.

Government is committed to strong security and law and order
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government is fully committed to maintaining the safety of citizens and law and order in Una district. Those who spread terror by threatening with guns and demanding ransom in the district will not be spared under any circumstances. Citizens and businessmen need not panic, the government is committed to their safety. The administration has been asked to deal strictly with those who intend to disturb the peace in the district. Instructions have been given to deal strictly with those involved in illegal mining.
He said that zero tolerance policy has been adopted against illegal mining and chitta in the district. Administration and police have been instructed to take action against illegal mining and chitta without any pressure. Availability of construction material within legal limits will be ensured for development and construction works in panchayats.
Apart from this, a complete ban has been imposed on cutting trees like Peepal, Banyan and Mango. This is a subject related to our faith and culture along with nature. Permission cannot be given to cut such big trees. The state government is working with strong political will to curb corruption. Those who do wrong will not be spared under any circumstances.

Families of martyrs were honored
At the ceremony, the Deputy Chief Minister honoured Jamila Khan, wife of martyr Naik Dilawar Khan of 28 RR and his family members and Kanchan, wife of martyr Kulwinder Singh of 4 Dogra and their children. Let us tell you that martyr Naik Dilawar Khan of Gharwasda village of Bangana was martyred while fighting terrorists in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir on 24 July 2024 last year. The Government of India has announced to award him the Kirti Chakra posthumously.
At the same time, martyr Kulwinder Singh of Pandoga was martyred on 4 June 2024 while fighting terrorists in Sundermani, Jammu and Kashmir.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister also conducted the lucky draw of Red Cross.

A wonderful mix of cultural colours
The beautiful aura of various cultural colors of Himachal as well as other states added glory to the ceremony. The cultural group from Uttarakhand mesmerized everyone with the presentation of the famous traditional Chhapeli dance, while the cultural group from Sirmaur charmed everyone by presenting Singhtu dance. The state's well-known musical band Abhigya also gave a wonderful performance in the ceremony. The girl students of Himcaps Nursing College Badhera performed Gidda, the children of Una Chhatra School performed Bhangra and the children of Mount Carmel School received applause for their patriotic performances. Eklavya Kala Manch presented a street play to create awareness about cyber crime.

Vikas tableaus became an attraction
During this time, tableaux based on the state government's schemes were also taken out, in which tableaux based on Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana, Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Startup Yojana, health, agriculture and education related schemes were the center of attraction. Apart from this, development exhibitions based on development achievements were also set up in the school premises.
