Forest workers demonstrated in the scorching heat in front of DC office premises Lumba, Mandoli

Patiala 10 June 2025-Today in the scorching heat of the end, Punjab Forest Department Employees Union Regd. Gathered under the leadership of District President Virpal Singh Lumba and State President Balbir Singh Mandoli, along with the employees of the division, raised strong slogans against the Punjab Government and demanded that the salary withheld for the last five months be released immediately.

Gathered under the leadership of District President Virpal Singh Lumba and State President Balbir Singh Mandoli, along with the employees of the division, raised strong slogans against the Punjab Government and demanded that the salary withheld for the last five months be released immediately.
The employees who have spent their lives as employees in the department. They are being taken from work illegally and since they have reached the age of 60 years, if the government does not make those employees permanent, then they should be ensured to be given work so that they can take care of themselves and their families. Whose livelihood was also dependent on the salary of the department.
A demand letter was also sent to the government through DC by staging a dharna in front of the District Administrative Office of Deputy Commissioner Patiala. The leaders of the organization warned that if the hardworking employees are not paid their salaries by the stipulated date, then a state level protest will be held in front of the office of Forest and Wildlife Protection Department Punjab in the forest complex located in Sector 68, Mohali. The department management and the Punjab government will be responsible for all the losses caused by this.
Lajwant members Harpreet Singh Lochma and Harcharan Singh Badochi said in their respective cases that the department is facing a lot of problems due to planting of unseasonal saplings and cutting of illegal trees. There should be a judicial inquiry into this. Trees worth lakhs of rupees that fell in the air have been uprooted with the connivance of their favourites. But the government did not pay any attention.
A large number of hardworking employees associated with the department were present on this occasion. Major Singh Bahar, Paramjit Kaur, Balveer Singh, Ram Kishan, Amrik Singh, Major Singh, Hardeep Singh Sauja, Rani Nabha, Rani Jai Samana, Kulwinder Singh, Satnam Singh etc. were present on this occasion.
