Garhshankar, April 22- A meeting was held in Gandhi Park to protest against the Punjab government not resolving the pending demands and issues of teachers during its three-year tenure and excluding hundreds of teachers of 3704 master and 6635 ETT recruitment from the new merit list in the name of re-determined list and transfers. In which, if the demands are not resolved properly, a warning march will be taken out to the education minister's village on May 4 and discussions were held regarding holding a state-level protest rally by teachers during the elections in Ludhiana (West) constituency.

Garhshankar, April 22- A meeting was held in Gandhi Park to protest against the Punjab government not resolving the pending demands and issues of teachers during its three-year tenure and excluding hundreds of teachers of 3704 master and 6635 ETT recruitment from the new merit list in the name of re-determined list and transfers. In which, if the demands are not resolved properly, a warning march will be taken out to the education minister's village on May 4 and discussions were held regarding holding a state-level protest rally by teachers during the elections in Ludhiana (West) constituency.
Speaking on this occasion, DTF District President Sukhdev Dansiwal of 4161 Master Union, Balkar Singh Maghania and Sandeep Singh Gill of 4161 Master Union, Kuljit Singh of 3704 recruitment and Rajdeep Singh of 6635 demanded that the jobs and future prospects of hundreds of teachers of various cadres who were left out of the list due to re-determination of appointment lists should be secured.
In this matter, they have also strongly demanded the cancellation of the notice issued to the 3704 cadre from the very beginning. The leaders said that if the job of any teacher is endangered in the name of re-determination lists, then the teachers will launch a fierce struggle.
Apart from this, a demand has been made to give special opportunity of unconditional transfers to 6635 ETT, 4161 and 2392 Masters who are serving hundreds of kilometers away from their homes to ETT to Master and Master to Lecturer promoted teachers and exempted categories and to start the process of 'General Transfer-2025' for the rest of the teachers as well. The leaders have demanded that the unjust and harmful decision of revising and cutting the salary of PTI and Art Craft teachers should be canceled from the very beginning, and the regularization orders issued to teacher Narinder Bhandari, Dr. Ravinder Kamboj, ODL teachers and 7654 Hindi subject teachers should be filled for all the vacant stations while keeping the same pending. 180 ETT (4500 ET pay scale should be re-implemented. 8 out of computer teachers should be made present. All financial and other pending benefits from the dates of training of 4161 and 3582 should be implemented in reality. Contract based employment should be considered as countable time for extension of unexpected leave after 10 and 20 years of service for male teachers.
On this occasion, DTF state joint secretaries Mukesh Kumar, Jagdeep Kumar, Jaswinder Singh, Hans Raj Garshankar and Sunil Kumar, 6635 ETT leaders Davinder Saini, Veerpal Kaur, Harwinder Kaur Simarjit Kaur, Bakshish Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Iqbal Singh Bharowal, 5994 leaders Sunil Bansal, Kuldeep Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Chamkaur Singh Satoj, Jaswinder Singh and Bagga Singh etc. were present.
