The final of the 67th National School Games basketball competition today

Patiala January 10 – The Basketball Boys Under 19 tournament of the 67th National School Games 2023-24 has reached its final stage. 30 teams from different states and union territories of the country participated in the tournament. The two teams that reached the final will compete on January 11 at the basketball court of Government Multipurpose Senior Secondary School High Branch Punjabi Bagh.

Dr. Ravinderpal Singh Deputy DEO Patiala said that during this tournament, there are qualified referees from Basketball Federation of India who are contributing to the organization of the tournament in a good way by giving fair decisions in the matches. On this occasion, West Bengal coach and team manager Somnath Paul and Gautam Saha said that the teams were welcomed in a wonderful manner by the host Punjab in the National School Games held at Patiala. Adequate arrangements were made by the District Education Officer Patiala for accommodation, food, transport from one place to another and for a visit to Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose National Institute of Sports in Patiala city.
Giving more information regarding this, Tournament Media Coordinator Rajinder Singh Chani said that in the quarter finals, Punjab defeated Chandigarh with 96-56 points. Delhi defeated Rajasthan with 77-76 points. Haryana defeated Jharkhand by 66-49 points. The International Board School Sports Organization entered the semi-finals after defeating Tamil Nadu by 72-61 points.
