
Punjabi language should be made compulsory as a compulsory subject- President Satish Kumar Soni.
Nawanshahr- A meeting of Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab was held under the leadership of Founder President Satish Kumar Soni. Darshan Dardi Advisor Punjab, Bahadur Chand Arora District President Nawanshahr, Darshan Kumar District Advisor Nawanshahr, District Press Secretary Vasdev Pardesi were mainly present in which concern was expressed on the drug menace spreading in the state.

District President Bahadur Chand Arora present on this occasion said that the society will go to the schools of the district and awaken the children to stay away from drugs. On this occasion Darshan Dardi Advisor Punjab said that mother tongue Punjabi is being discriminated against by private schools in Punjab. These include ICSE and CBSE boards. Punjabi is being marginalized.
The state government should issue instructions to these boards to make Punjabi language compulsory from the first class. Action should be taken against schools that do not implement Punjabi as a compulsory subject. Society Punjab President Satish Kumar Soni said that our existence is hidden in the Punjabi language. Today our children are unable to write and speak Punjabi. He demanded through this press note that the state government should take concrete steps to save the Punjabi language.
