Patiala, October 1 - On the instructions of the Ministry of Railways and under the leadership of Pramod Kumar, Principal Chief Administrative Officer, Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW), a special fortnight under the "Swachhata Hi Seva" campaign was successfully observed from September 14 to October 1. As a tribute to the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, October 2 will be celebrated as Swachh Bharat Diwas. 
The campaign saw enthusiastic participation of all officers and staff who actively contributed to the cleanliness drive within the workshops and administrative buildings. During this period, many activities were successfully completed in the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, which included Swachhata Sankalp, Swachhata Abhiyan in all shops, offices, colonies, public institutions etc., black spot cleaning, Swachhata Samvad, Nukkad Natak, Drawing Competition in KV-2 School, Plantation, Marathon, Distribution of PPE, Swachhata Safety Health Check-up Camp.
Today, all the officers and employees of PLW took the Swachhata Pledge reiterating their commitment towards cleanliness.
