Khalsa College Mahilpur students win four prizes in state level competition

Mahilpur, February 22- Four students of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College have brought laurels to the institution by winning prizes in the state level inter-college literary competition organized by Punjabi Sahitya Academy, Ludhiana on February 21 on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.

Mahilpur, February 22- Four students of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College have brought laurels to the institution by winning prizes in the state level inter-college literary competition organized by Punjabi Sahitya Academy, Ludhiana on February 21 on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.
In this regard, the college principal Dr. Parvinder Singh congratulated the students and said that it is a matter of special honour to achieve such an achievement by going beyond the traditional university level competitions. On this occasion, the head of the Punjabi department Dr. J. B. Sekhon said that
Student Monika (B.A. Part II) got the first prize in the story writing competition organized by the Sahitya Academy. He informed that Lakhwinder Kaur (B.A. Part III) got the second prize in folk song competition and Saloni Sharma (B.A. Part II) and Priyanshu (B.Com. Part II) got the third prize in Akhan and Idiomatic Dialogue.
He informed that these students were selected by Prof. Parminder Kaur, Prof. They are preparing for literary competitions under the guidance of Prof. Balbir Kaur and Prof. Kuldeep Singh. On this occasion, Prof. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Nancy and other staff members also wished these students.
