Huge district level health and employment camp for women in Nawanshahr today

13 February Nawanshahr- To keep the women and girls of the district healthy and provide employment opportunities, a huge district level camp is being organized at ITI Ground, Nawanshahr on February 14, 2025. Taking stock of the preparations for the camp at the ITI ground, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman said that all the arrangements for the camp have been completed.

13 February Nawanshahr- To keep the women and girls of the district healthy and provide employment opportunities, a huge district level camp is being organized at ITI Ground, Nawanshahr on February 14, 2025. Taking stock of the preparations for the camp at the ITI ground, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman said that all the arrangements for the camp have been completed.
He said that during this camp being organized under the guidelines of the Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development, Punjab, stalls will be set up by various departments to provide benefits of ongoing schemes for women in Punjab and free health check-up and treatment facilities will be provided to women during the camp.
Similarly, to provide employment opportunities to women and girls, various placement agencies will also participate in this camp in collaboration with the District Employment Bureau and District Industries Center, which will also give appointment letters to eligible candidates on the spot and girls will be given information about skill development and employment opportunities.
On this occasion, pregnant women will also be registered to avail benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. During the camp, along with updating the Aadhar card, stalls will be set up about the facilities being provided to women and girls by the District Child Protection Unit, Sakhi One Stop Center, Mahila Hub.
During this, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary guidelines to the officers of the concerned departments for the successful organization of the camp. He appealed to the district residents to reach the ITI ground on February 14 and take maximum advantage of the facilities being provided by various departments during the camp.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Avneet Kaur, SDM Nawanshahr Dr. Akshita Gupta, District Program Officer Jagroop Singh and other officers were present.
