
Administration releases schedule for Nature Fest starting from February 21

Giving information about various programs to be held during the five-day Nature Fest, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the administration has released the program after consultation with all the participants.

Giving information about various programs to be held during the five-day Nature Fest, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the administration has released the program after consultation with all the participants.
He said that the Nature Fest will begin with bird watching at Pong Dam on the first day, while in the evening there will be Star Night at Lajwanti Stadium, in which famous Punjabi singer Alaap Sikandar will entertain the audience with his singing. He said that extensive arrangements are being made to run the program smoothly and make it memorable.
The entertainment activities will continue on the second day i.e. February 22, which will include night camping at Solis and Throwli, cyclothon at Lajwanti Stadium, kids carnival at Van Chetna Park and screening of India vs Pakistan match at the stadium on February 23. The Deputy Commissioner, while referring to off-roading, said that off-roading will be done at Cooknet, for which necessary arrangements are being made for the convenience of the participants.
On the closing day, Nature Retreat, Booting and Jungle Safari at Chauhal and a musical evening by Punjabi singer Kanwar Grewal will be the main attractions. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the people, especially the residents of Hoshiarpur district, to participate in large numbers in the Nature Fest and said that apart from creating a website naturefestsp.com to provide information to the people regarding the fest, a helpline number 90565-68870 has also been issued.
