SAS Nagar, May 10 - The city's first cycle track built by the Municipal Corporation has been opened to the general public. Municipal Corporation Mayor, Amarjit Singh Sidhu himself inaugurated it by cycling on the cycle track.
This cycle track, built from Old Spice Chowk to Airport Road (Chima Light Point), has cost Rs 80 lakh. On this occasion, Mayor Jeeti Sidhu said that she has continuously reviewed the progress of this project. She said that the construction of this track has fulfilled the long-standing demand of cyclists.
She said that this track has been built keeping in mind environmental protection and convenience of cyclists, and the work of constructing cycle tracks on the routes determined by the Municipal Corporation will also be started soon.
