13 February Nawanshahr- Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh reviewed the construction work of Critical Care Unit and Integrated Public Health Lab (IPHL) under construction at District Hospital, Nawanshahr. On this occasion, he also inspected the land allotted for the proposed medical college in the district.
On this occasion, he was accompanied by Acting Civil Surgeon Dr. Mandeep Kamal and Senior Medical Officer of District Hospital, Nawanshahr, Dr. Satwinder Pal Singh, besides representatives of Punjab Health System Corporation. The Health and Family Welfare Minister, while inspecting the under-construction Critical Care Unit and Integrated Public Health Lab (IPHL), directed the District Health Officers and Punjab Health System Corporation officials to complete these under-construction projects as soon as possible so that the common people can start getting more quality health services.
He said that Critical Care Units are being built across the state which will prove to be a boon for the common people as serious diseases will be treated on the spot in them. These units will provide state-of-the-art healthcare facilities for critical patients. These Critical Care Units will cater to the needs of critical patients requiring advanced medical services.
He further said that after completion of the new Critical Care Units, better healthcare services would be provided to critical patients in case of road accidents or any other emergency. He said that the Punjab Government would leave no stone unturned in providing better healthcare services to the common people of the state.
