Hoshiarpur- As per the orders of the Deputy Commissioner and under the leadership of District Program Officer Hoshiarpur, 70 girls of Hoshiarpur district are being prepared for SSC, UPSC, IBPS, Railway, State examinations through Uday Academy (Gyanam) in Hoshiarpur so that the girls can get training and become self-reliant by getting jobs in government or private institutions.
These coaching classes will be for a total of 400 hours per month for 4 months from December 2024 to March 2025. The Deputy Commissioner took feedback about the coaching from the girls taking free coaching. The girls described the initiative of starting free coaching classes by the district administration as very beneficial and assured that they would take full advantage of this coaching and become self-reliant.
The Deputy Commissioner shared his experience of becoming an IAS. He asked the girls to keep their goals high and boosted their morale. The District Program informed that the committee appointed for free coaching classes regularly visits the academy and takes feedback. Academy incharge Simarpreet Singh said that the girls taking coaching are taking regular classes without any holidays and are preparing for the exams with full enthusiasm.
Weekly mock tests are taken from those girls. Due to which the girls have got good results so far. On this occasion, Daya Rani CDPO Hoshiarpur-2, Ramandeep Kaur District Employment Generation Skill Development and Training Officer, Zoya Siddiqui DDF and Parminder Kaur Office Assistant were present.
