To strengthen democracy, aware voters will be able to win attractive prizes by participating in online quiz competition - Deputy Commissioner

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 07 January 2025: On the occasion of 15th National Voters' Day and keeping in mind the strengthening of democratic traditions among the voters, a district level online quiz competition will be organized on 19 January 2025 under the able guidance of Chief Election Officer, Punjab and the leadership of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, the winners of which will participate in the state level competition to be held in Ludhiana on 24 January.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 07 January 2025: On the occasion of 15th National Voters' Day and keeping in mind the strengthening of democratic traditions among the voters, a district level online quiz competition will be organized on 19 January 2025 under the able guidance of Chief Election Officer, Punjab and the leadership of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, the winners of which will participate in the state level competition to be held in Ludhiana on 24 January.
In this regard, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Shahbzada Ajit Singh Nagar Ashika Jain said that the objective of this quiz competition is to strengthen democratic traditions among the voters, increase the participation of youth in the electoral process and make every section aware about the electoral process.
District Nodal Officer Sweep-cum-Officer Incharge Civil Engineering Government Polytechnic College Khuni Majra, Prof. Gurbakshish Singh Antal said that in this regard, voters can register online on the link https://punjab.indiastatquiz.com/NewRegister.aspx of Chief Electoral Officer Punjab from 18 December 2024 to 17 January 2025. District level online quiz competition will be held on 19 January and winners from 23 districts will participate in offline quiz competition on 24 January in Ludhiana.
The winners of the state level quiz competition will be felicitated by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab by giving laptop, tablet and smart watch to the first three contestants respectively. Election Tehsildar, Sanjay Kumar said that awareness campaign is being run in this regard with the cooperation of all educational institutions, youth clubs and NGOs of the district.
