Road safety campaign under National Safety Month, 14 vehicles challaned

Hoshiarpur- As per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, under National Safety Month-2025, a road safety campaign was conducted in Hoshiarpur district today under the leadership of Regional Transport Officer Ravinder Singh Gill. Under the campaign, 14 challans were issued to vehicles violating traffic rules at different places. During the campaign, reflector tape was specially installed at the back of tractor-trolleys, trucks and other heavy vehicles.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly and follow traffic rules, especially during fog season. Along with this, awareness was also created about the necessary safety rules to prevent road accidents. Regional Transport Officer Ravinder Singh Gill said that under the National Safety Month, our aim is to focus on the importance of road safety and make people aware of traffic rules. Following traffic rules not only ensures the safety of drivers but also plays an important role in the safety of life and property of other pedestrians.
During this campaign, drivers were made aware to take special precautions while driving during fog and to ensure that the vehicle lights and reflectors are working properly. This campaign will continue continuously to prevent accidents and follow traffic rules. The district administration has appealed to all citizens to be careful while walking on the road and strictly follow traffic rules.
This campaign is an important step towards reducing road accidents and improving the traffic system in the district.
