Supreme Court allows NEET-PG 2025 exam to be conducted on August 3
New Delhi, June 6- The Supreme Court on Friday allowed the National Board of Examinations to conduct the NEET-PG 2025 exam in one shift on August 3 as per the apex court's directions. A bench of Justices Prashant Kumar Mishra and Augustine George Masih, which had initially questioned the more than two months sought by the NBE to conduct the exam, said that the reasons for conducting NEET-PG 2025 on August 3 appear to be valid.
However, the apex court made it clear that no more time will be given to the NBE to conduct the NEET-PG 2025 exam. The NBE argued that the apex court's May 30 order requires the exam to be conducted in one shift and therefore, around 1,000 examination centres were required to conduct the exam at one time.
The NBE's petition said it would conduct the exam, which was scheduled to be held on June 15 between 9 am and 12.30 pm, on August 3, which was the earliest possible date given by its technology partner Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS). Earlier, on May 30, the top court had set aside the NBE's decision to conduct the exam in two shifts.
