6237 learners trained from "RSETI" started their self-employment: Verma

Patiala, January 4 - State Bank of India's Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSETI) distributed certificates to the learners undergoing BC Sakhi training at Village Jassowal, Bhadson Road, Patiala. Lead Bank Patiala Rajiv Sirhandi specially participated in this event.

Speaking on the occasion, LDM Patiala Rajiv Sirhandi said that the Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSETI) run by State Bank of India is a very good initiative. He said that this institution run by the bank has a big contribution in increasing self-employment. He appreciated the facilities and training level available in the institution.
On this occasion, Bhagwan Singh Verma, Director of SBI RSETI Patiala, said that training is provided for more than 60 different courses in RSETI Patiala. Baljinder Singh, Hardeep Singh Rai, Ajitinder Singh and Arshdeep Kaur of (RCET) Patiala were present on this occasion.
Bhagwan Singh Verma said that the registration of trainees for training courses like Goat Farming, Computer Accounting, Jute Products, Dairy Farming, Tailoring, Beauty Parlor etc. has been started at RCET, Patiala. For these courses, women and other unemployed people from rural areas, who are between the age of 18 to 45 years, can get their registration done and all the courses are free of cost.
Till 31st December 2024, 8458 trainees have undergone training in various activities, out of which 6237 trainees have started self-employment. The trained candidates are also followed up for two years to generate effective employment.
