There will be no discrimination in development works and employment of workers under MGNREGA - Sarpanch Manjit Kaur

In this, there was also an urgent discussion regarding the issue of employment of MGNREGA workers in the past.

The new Sarpanch Mrs. Manjit Kaur said that there will be no discrimination in development works and employment of workers under MGNREGA and 100 days of employment of workers will be fully ensured for all workers in a year. During this MGNREGA Social Audit session, Para Legal Volunteer Baldev Bharti of District Legal Services Authority Sardar Bhagat Singh Nagar, who specially reached, gave information about the 'Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act-2005' and 'Construction Workers Welfare Act-1996' besides various welfare schemes of the workers of the unorganized sector.
It is worth mentioning here that during the session, the workers associated with the National Labor Organization (NLO) also registered a demand in the action register for at least 200 days of employment for MGNREGA workers during the financial year; and for the workers to be paid daily wages as per the 'Minimum Wages Act-1948'. Apart from a large number of villagers, Gram Rozgar Sewak Harjinder, Amreek Singh, Geeta, Rekha Rani and Jaswinder Kaur Panch and Numbardar Chiranji Lal etc. were specially present in this session.
