Chandigarh:--Today, during a grand program organized outside the Municipal Corporation office, the Safai Mitras of the Public Toilet Committee of the Municipal Corporation welcomed the President of the Congress Party, Mr. H.S. Lucky ji and Councilor Jasvir Bunty with great enthusiasm and expressed their gratitude. This welcome and gratitude ceremony was organized to commemorate the passing of DC rate for the toilet Safai Mitras.
It is worth noting that earlier the toilet Safai Mitras were given very low salary, due to which there was a need to improve their condition. In this context, Pradhan Mr. H.S. Lucky and Councilor Jasvir Bunty raised their voice in the Municipal Corporation and succeeded in getting the DC rate passed for the Safai Mitras. Yesterday, in the Municipal Corporation meeting, this decision was approved with the support of the councilors.
Coordination Committee Chairman Mr. Rakesh Kumar expressed his gratitude to Pradhan Mr. H.S. Lucky and said that due to his tireless efforts, the condition of the toilet workers has improved. This decision will increase the salary of the employees, which will improve their standard of living and they will be able to continue their service in a better way.
On this special occasion, Pradhan Shri H.S. Lucky gave sweets to the Safai Mitras and congratulated the employees for their victory in the struggle. During this, the employees expressed their happiness by playing drums and thanked Pradhan Shri Lucky and Councilor Shri Jasvir Bunty.
President H.S. Lucky said, “Today is a historic day for our Safai Karamcharis. This decision will not only honor their hard work, but will also improve their standard of living. This success is not only ours, but also the victory of our Safai Mitras. We will always fight for their rights and keep working for their welfare. I thank all the members of the Municipal Corporation who worked with us on this issue. We will ensure that Safai Mitras get due respect for their hard work."
Also, Pradhan H.S. Lucky and Councilor Jasvir Bunty motivated the workers to end their strike which was going on for three months. All the Safai Karamcharis thanked Pradhan Mr. Lucky and Councilor Mr. Bunty for solving their problems and congratulated them and expressed confidence that now they will perform their responsibilities in a better way.
