Nawanshahr/Banga- Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar was recently appointed as Vice-Chancellor; Prof (Dr) Karamjit Singh was congratulated by Sikh National College Banga Principal Dr Tarsem Singh Bhinder as Secretary of the Principal Association; along with the Principals of various colleges, a special meeting was held with him to congratulate him. During the meeting, Pr Dr Tarsem Singh presented a bouquet of flowers to Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Karamjit Singh and also appreciated the decision taken by the government for his appointment.
It is noteworthy that Prof (Dr) Karamjit Singh has also served in the Sikh Education Society's College Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Sector-26 Chandigarh, the Managing Committee of Sikh National College Banga. Later, he held various positions in Panjab University, University Grants Commission and was the founder Vice-Chancellor of Jagat Guru Nanak Dev University Patiala before being appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar.
Principal Dr. Bhinder also said that I have full confidence that under his leadership, Guru Nanak Dev University will set new horizons in the future. On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Saroj Bala (Dean, College Development Council), Principal Dr. Ajay Sarin, Principal Yugraj Singh, Principal Anoop Kumar, Principal Savinder Pal, Principal Dr. Amardeep Gupta, Principal Dr. Harpreet Singh Hundal were also present.
