
Haryana Lokayukta issues new affidavit form for complaints

Chandigarh, June 6 - Haryana Government has introduced a new affidavit form (Form-II) by making significant amendments in the Haryana Lokayukta (Functions, Powers, Inquiry and Investigation) Rules, 2008.
As per the amended rules, now the complainants filing a complaint before the Lokayukta will have to prepare an affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 3. It will be mandatory to get this affidavit attested by a notary, oath commissioner or first class magistrate.
According to the notification issued by Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi, the complainant has to certify that he himself is the complainant in this case. He has read or got read the facts given in the complaint himself and has understood them correctly.
He has not filed any other such complaint or application before the Haryana Lokayukta before this. The facts given in the complaint are true to the best of his knowledge and belief and are based on information or documents given by any other person which he believes to be true.
