
Civil Surgeon flags off rickshaws to raise awareness about dengue
Patiala, November 19: Keeping the dengue season in mind, the District Health Department flagged off 2 rickshaws to the dengue affected areas by giving the green signal to Civil Surgeon Dr. Jatinder Kansal to create awareness about dengue fever in the district. On this occasion, he said that we have to be aware of dengue.

Precautions should be taken to prevent dengue. He said that now, while the staff of the Health Department visit people every Friday to make them aware of dengue. It is also the personal responsibility of the people to fully cooperate with the Health Department to prevent this disease. District Epidemiologist Dr. Sumit Singh said that the larvae of the dengue mosquito breed in clean stagnant water.
Therefore, water should not be allowed to stagnate around your homes, in broken pots, refrigerator trays, flower pots, etc. By observing a dry day on Friday, ensure that standing water sources, coolers and refrigerator trays are cleaned.
On this occasion, Assistant Health Officer Dr. S. J. Singh, District Epidemiologist Dr. Sumit Singh and Dr. Divjot Singh, District Health Officer, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, District Mass Media Officer Kulvir Kaur and Jasjit Kaur, District BCC Coordinator Jasvir Kaur, Health Supervisor Kuldeep Kaur and other staff members were present.
