
Sports Committee reviews preparations for National School Games basketball tournament
Patiala, November 15 - Punjab has been awarded the hosting rights for the Under-19 Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament by the School Games Federation of India as per the schedule of the 68th National School Games 2024-25. This tournament is to be organized in Patiala from November 20 to 26. To review the preparations, Sunil Kumar Bhardwaj, Deputy Director Sports Branch Office, Director School Education, Punjab Secondary Education and other team members arrived in high esteem on behalf of the State School Sports Committee.
Patiala, November 15 - Punjab has been awarded the hosting rights for the Under-19 Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament by the School Games Federation of India as per the schedule of the 68th National School Games 2024-25. This tournament is to be organized in Patiala from November 20 to 26. To review the preparations, Sunil Kumar Bhardwaj, Deputy Director Sports Branch Office, Director School Education, Punjab Secondary Education and other team members arrived in high esteem on behalf of the State School Sports Committee.
He held a meeting with District Education Officer, Secondary Education, Patiala, Sanjeev Sharma, Deputy DEO, Dr. Ravinderpal Singh and the in-charges of the team appointed for organizing the tournament. He also gave instructions regarding the accommodation, food and other facilities of the players and support staff coming from other states.
Sunil Kumar Bhardwaj also reviewed the schedule of the opening ceremony and matches of the tournament along with the tournament committee. The District Education Officer assured the State Committee that the entire hardworking team of District Patiala will successfully organize the tournament by following the instructions of the State.
On this occasion, Daljit Singh District Coordinator Sports, Amarjot Singh Patiala, Parambir Kaur Mohali, Ajitpal Singh Ludhiana, Simardeep Singh Barnala and other officials were present.
