Srinagar, March 4- Fresh snowfall has occurred in the higher hills of Kashmir today while there are reports of rain in most parts of the Valley. Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Kokernag, Kupwara and some parts of Baramulla and the high hills of Kashmir have received fresh snowfall.
Officials said that during the last 24 hours, many places in the Valley including Srinagar have received rain. Due to rain and snowfall, the day temperature in Kashmir has dropped and the mercury in the Valley has dropped by three to nine degrees below normal. The Meteorological Department said that the weather is expected to clear up as the day progresses. However, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry till March 10.
