Patiala, November 2 – Track and field events of the athletic meet under-14, 17 and 19 age group of students studying in middle, high and senior secondary schools have started at Polo Ground Patiala.
Giving more information in this regard, Daljit Singh District Coordinator Sports said that on the first day of the athletic meet, the final competition of boys and girls in 600 meters race under 14 category; 800m race finals for boys and girls in under 17 and 19 categories; Boys and Girls Finals in Under 14, 17 and 19 categories of shot put; 5000m boys and 3000m girls finals in U-17 category; 200m Under 14, 17 and 19 boys and girls finals; Boys finals in Under 14, 17 and 19 categories of long jump; Discus Throw Boys Finals in Under 14, 17 and 19 categories; Javelin throw under 17 and 19 categories of girls final competitions were conducted. Secretary District Tournament Committee Charanjit Singh Bhullar said that according to the guidelines of District Education Officer Sanjeev Sharma, the qualifying time and distance have also been determined for the participating athletes during this athletic meet.
On this occasion, Principal Jaspal Singh Mandore, Principal Rajnish Gupta Filkhana, Rajinder Singh Saini Rajpura, Rajinder Singh Chani, Jaswinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Amarinder Singh, Balwinder Singh, Shashi Mann, Baljit Singh, Boror Singh, Davinder Singh Patdan, Gurpreet Singh, Tarsem Singh, Naranjan Singh, Jaswinder Singh Gajjumajra, Ravinder Singh Ravi and other physical education teachers were present.
