RC, Driving License and Revenue Department services available through Sewa Kendras and Doorstep Delivery in the district - Deputy Commissioner

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 27: Increasing the services provided through Sewa Kendras and Doorstep Delivery, the Punjab Government has made 30 services of the Transport Department including Registration Certificate (RC) and Driving License (DL) available through Sewa Kendras and Doorstep Delivery, due to which now people do not need to go to the RTO office or depend on agents to avail these services.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 27: Increasing the services provided through Sewa Kendras and Doorstep Delivery, the Punjab Government has made 30 services of the Transport Department including Registration Certificate (RC) and Driving License (DL) available through Sewa Kendras and Doorstep Delivery, due to which now people do not need to go to the RTO office or depend on agents to avail these services.
Disclosing this, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal said that the services of the Transport Department recently started through service centers and door step delivery include services related to driving licenses, such as new application, change of address, change of name, duplicate learner license, besides services related to driving licenses such as duplicate license, renewal (where there is no need to go to the test track), replacement, change of address, change of name, correction of date of birth, driving license extract pre-registration, license surrender, badge of public service vehicle, renewal of conductor license, extension of validity of learner license, international driving permit.
Similarly, RC related services include duplicate RC, change of ownership of non-commercial vehicle, continuation of hire purchase (in case of change of ownership/change of name), endorsement of hire purchase agreement, fitness certificate of commercial vehicles (heavy/medium/three wheeler/four wheeler/LMV), payment of additional lifetime tax (in case of change of ownership), viewing of RC details, NOC for RC, update of mobile number in transport services record, change of address in RC, change in vehicle and termination of hire purchase agreement.
He said that apart from this, six services of the Revenue Department, including Deed Registration (drafting of deed, submission of deed for pre-examination, appointment, payment of stamp duty and other charges), Request for Mutation (on the basis of inheritance or registered deed), Request for Entry of Reports (relating to court orders, bank loans/mortgage or termination of bank loans/mortgage), Request for Fard Badar (correction in record) and Request for Fard and Digital Signature have been made available through the service centers.
Appealing to the people of the district to take advantage of this initiative, the Deputy Commissioner said that citizens can now avail these services by dialing the 1076 helpline number, sitting at home and they no longer need to visit the offices repeatedly. He said that the convenience charge for door step delivery services has now been reduced from Rs 120 to just Rs 50.
The Deputy Commissioner said that to increase the convenience of the general public to avail services related to the Sewa Kendras, the timings of the Sewa Kendra located in the District Administrative Complex of Mohali have now been extended from 8 am to 8 pm (Monday to Saturday), where people can come as per their own time to avail their services.
