Mohali / Chandigarh, October 27, 2024 – General Secretary of Aam Aadmi Party, Punjab and Chairman of Punjab Mandi Board, Mr. Harchand Singh Barsat has strongly condemned the disrespect being done by the Central Government of Bharatiya Janata Party to the food providers and grains in Punjab. Mr. Barsat warned the leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party that according to the scriptures of India, disrespecting food is a great sin.
The Central Government of Bharatiya Janata Party is disrespecting food at every level in Punjab today. Along with food, the food providers are forcing the farmers, laborers, traders, sheller owners and the arhatiya brotherhood to cry in the mandis. In this way, food and food providers are being disrespected. The scriptures of India have given the status of deity to food. Its proof is always found in the words of sages and great ascetics and in religious texts.
Our prophet always used to eat food after greeting and never left any leftovers or allowed food to be trampled under the feet, but the central government of the Bharatiya Janata Party is forgetting all the values ??and is disrespecting food and its providers. This is being done only for political reasons to humiliate the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab. They are not concerned about how many Punjabis are getting upset and angry because of this. The leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Punjab are also shedding crocodile tears, while no one cares about them at the center. In this way, the central government which is disrespecting food and its providers, will soon sink its boat according to Indian scriptures.
The country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been unable to follow his Rajdharma towards the food providers and the food of Punjab, because Modi ji is still considering himself the Prime Minister of the Bharatiya Janata Party, while he is the Prime Minister of the country. It is his responsibility to do justice to the farmers of Punjab, but the Prime Minister has been insensitive even towards Manipur. In various states of the country, the government agencies vigilance, ED, CBI and other mechanisms are being misused to break the opposition party and democracy is being destroyed, which is a violation of Rajdharma.
Earlier, the former Prime Minister of the country, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had also advised the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi to follow Rajdharma during the Gujarat riots, but Modi sahab did not pay heed. Today again, disrespecting the food providers and not following Rajdharma are the same.
S: Barsat told that during the paddy season, the Punjab government has made strong arrangements to run the paddy procurement operations smoothly in the mandis, under which arrangements have been made for clean drinking water, electric lights, cleanliness, bathrooms, shade etc. He told that till now 58.39 lakh metric tonnes of paddy crop has arrived in the mandis of Punjab, out of which 53.24 lakh metric tonnes have been procured and 16.57 lakh metric tonnes have been lifted.
Punjab Mandi Board has a total of 156 market committees, which have 152 main yards and 283 subyards and 1383 procurement centers, while 1145 more RG procurement centers have been declared to ensure proper procurement of paddy. In this way, a total of 2963 procurement centers are running across Punjab today. He said that the Punjab government stands with the farmers, laborers, commission agents, rice millers, traders and they will not be allowed to face any kind of problem.
