Bobby owns a shoe shop in Shimla. Bobby sent two trucks loaded with relief materials without any publicity. These included 5,000 kg of rice, 1,800 kg of pulses, 1,500 blankets, 600 sleeping mats and utensils worth Rs 21,000, which provided much-needed help to the families suffering from the natural disaster.
Popular for his selfless service, Bobby has been helping the needy for the past decade, from running a 24×7 free funeral van for unclaimed bodies, to organising blood donation camps and helping orphanages and old age homes.
Bobby started Himachal's first free canteen at IGMC Shimla in 2014, where poor patients and their caregivers were provided with tea, biscuits and food daily. Bobby said, "I am just a common man, but I hope there will be many like me across the country."
