Mahilpur, October 16 - Sardar Bhupinder Singh of Muggowal, known as the village of five freedom fighters who contributed to the independence of the country, was elected Sarpanch and he and his wife Mrs. Amarjit Kaur were honored by the villagers.
 Along with this, Panchayat members Karamjit Singh Babbu, Harmanjot Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Balwant Kaur and Kamaljit Kaur, who were part of his team, were also honored by giving Siropao. Laddus were distributed on this occasion and happiness was expressed. On this occasion, Pandit Narendra Mohan Nindi former Sarpanch, Sukhwinder Singh former Sarpanch, Mahendra Singh, Raghveer Singh, Parminder Singh, Mohanlal Patial, Lakhveer Singh, Lambar Singh, Satnam Singh, Paramjit Singh, Jasveer Singh and other villagers were present. Talking on this occasion, the newly appointed Sarpanch Bhupinder Singh said that the way he has done his government work with full honesty, patriotism and hard work. 
Similarly, he will take the village to the heights of progress by working with full honesty. He said that the problems of the villagers will be solved in the village itself. With the help of his Panchayat members, he will always strive to provide justice to every person without any discrimination. On this occasion, he thanked all the city dwellers who gave him the honour of becoming the Sarpanch of village Muggowal.
