Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh informed about this important announcement. He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has included this area in the urban pattern, due to which uninterrupted power supply will be available here like cities.
Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh said that about 14-15 years ago a 66 KV sub-station was established in village Janauri, but for a long time this station was not connected to the urban grid, due to which the villagers had to face frequent power cuts. Now the work of connecting this sub-station completely to the urban supply system has been started, due to which people will start getting uninterrupted electricity for 24 hours in the coming days.
Dr. Ravjot Singh said that this decision is not only a step towards power reform but also a historic step towards the all-round development of the Kandi area. This will also give new energy to sectors like education, health, industry and agriculture in the area. He said that proper development of the Kandi area is at the top of his priorities. He assured that in the coming time, every possible step will be taken to fully equip this area with basic facilities.
The Local Bodies Minister expressed special gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for this decision and congratulated all the area residents for this achievement. He said that this is not just electricity, but the light of a bright future for this area.
