Nawanshahr- Additional Deputy Commissioner (J), Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Rajiv Verma visited various grain markets of the district and reviewed the wheat procurement arrangements. During his visit to Nawanshahr, Rahon and Banga grain markets, he said that under the guidelines of Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh, proper arrangements have been made for wheat procurement in all the markets of the district and farmers, arhtiyas and laborers will not be allowed to face any kind of problem.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that every grain of the farmers' crop will be purchased. He said that farmers will not be allowed to face any kind of problem regarding wheat procurement or lifting and also the payment for wheat procurement will be made to the farmer brothers simultaneously.
He said that adequate arrangements for water, gunny bags and cleanliness etc. have been made in all the procurement centers of the district. He appealed to the farmers to harvest wheat as per the stipulated time and bring only dry wheat to the markets, so that they do not have to face any kind of problem. He appealed to the farmers to contribute to the conservation of the environment by not burning wheat stubble and other waste.
SDM Nawanshahr Ravinder Bansal, SDM Banga Vipan Bhandari, District Mandi Officer Jashandeep Singh Nainowal and officials of the procurement agencies were present on this occasion.
