Garhshankar- With the harvesting of the wheat crop, the process of setting fire to the stubble in the fields has also started. Which is dangerous for our lives and future generations. This was said by the founder president of Adarsh Social Welfare Society, Satish Kumar Soni and Joint Secretary Block Santokh Singh while talking to the press.
He said that with the harvesting of wheat, the process of setting fire to the stubble by the farmers in their fields has started. Which is a matter of great concern for our society and is also proving fatal for our society. He said that our organization takes efforts at different times to save the environment and awareness camps are also organized under the Save the Environment, Save the Daughter campaign.
But as long as the farmers set fire to the wheat stalks in the fields and the paddy straw during the paddy season, the efforts being made by our society and other social organizations to save the environment remain in vain. He said that by setting fire in the fields, the friendly creatures in our land, which help in increasing the fertility of our fields, also get burnt and destroyed.
Therefore, we should refrain from setting fire in the fields to save them. He said that Adarsh Social Welfare Society requests the farmers and the state government through the medium of Punjab Press to strictly ban the burning of wheat stalks in the fields and the use of fertilizers and poisonous pesticides in the crops, so that the environment around us remains clean and healthy.
