
Una district administration is keeping a strict vigil to curb illegal mining
Una, August 5 - Cracking down on illegal mining, the Una district administration has tightened the vigil. Along with increasing surveillance in Khanpur and Fatehpur areas of Mehtpur tehsil, now officers and employees have also been deployed in Bathu, Bathri and Ghaluwal of Haroli tehsil to ensure day and night surveillance.
Una, August 5 - Cracking down on illegal mining, the Una district administration has tightened the vigil. Along with increasing surveillance in Khanpur and Fatehpur areas of Mehtpur tehsil, now officers and employees have also been deployed in Bathu, Bathri and Ghaluwal of Haroli tehsil to ensure day and night surveillance.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has issued special instructions for this. According to the order issued, Assistant Mining Inspector Vijay Kumar, Mining Guard Mohan Lal and Shashi Kapoor along with a police constable have been deployed for round the clock monitoring in Bathu-Bathri village. At the same time, Assistant Mining Inspector Ram Das and a police constable have been appointed in Ghaluwal.
These officers have been instructed to keep vigil in their respective areas round the clock and submit weekly action report to the Mining Officer, Una. The Mining Officer will send his report to the Deputy Commissioner's office.
Jatin Lal reiterated his commitment to deal strictly with illegal mining in the district. He said that the Una district administration is fully committed to stop illegal mining activities and protect natural resources. Officers and employees have been put on duty to monitor the areas along the Swan river to prevent illegal mining.
