MLA Kulwant Singh held a meeting with the Chief Administrator of GMADA to review the development works

SAS Nagar, January 07, 2025: The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is making special efforts to make SAS Nagar a more beautiful and world-class city. Giving information in this regard, MLA Kulwant Singh said that under these efforts, 3 main roads of the city (Phase-7 to Phase-11 road, road from Kumbha Chowk to Bawa White House and road from Village Mohali to SSP Mohali Niwas) have been widened/made two-way, apart from the work of making rotary at the main intersections of the city, work is being done to beautify that part of PR 7 road which falls between CP 67 Mall and IISER Chowk.

He said that a review meeting was held today with the Chief Administrator of GMADA and senior officers of the Engineering Department of GMADA to take stock of the progress of these works and other development works going on in the city. In this meeting, the MLA of the constituency, citing the difficulties faced by the city residents due to the slow pace of the above works, directed the officials of Gmada to expedite the development works going on in the city, for which a time limit should be fixed for every work.
Agreeing with the MLA of the constituency, the Chief Administrator Gmada directed the officials of the Engineering Department of Gmada to prepare a complete layout plan by February 15, 2025 in consultation with the architect for the beautification of PR 7 road. Apart from this, the MLA of the constituency also proposed to build a rotary road at every intersection on the part of PR 7 road meeting Sector 82 on Patiala-Zirakpur Road, on which the Chief Administrator Gmada said that it would be considered in depth.
MLA Kulwant Singh discussed various other issues of the city with the Chief Administrator and said that the related issues should be resolved as soon as possible. GMADA Chief Administrator Monish Kumar, GMADA Chief Engineer Anuj Sehgal and heads of various branches of engineering wing of GMADA were present in the meeting.
