Patiala, July 15 – The Health Department, Patiala, conducted a survey after reports of diarrhea outbreak in village Jhil and nearby areas of Aman Bagh, Baba Deep Singh Nagar and Ratan Nagar. Water samples were taken and ORS and zinc tablets were distributed from house to house. Survey and sampling activities were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sumit Singh District Epidemiologist Patiala and Dr. Divjot Singh In-charge IDSP Patiala under the direction of Civil Surgeon cum Chief Medical Officer Patiala Dr. Sanjay Goyal. Area Medical Officer Dr. Gurchandan Deep Singh was also present along with his staff and met the patients. After medical examination, they were immediately referred to higher centers for further care.
