Chandigarh: 10th November, 2024: Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh hosted an International Conference on Design and Manufacturing Technologies, “ICDMT-2024”, from 8th-10th November 2024. The theme of this conference was: “Design, Develop and Manufacture.”  The three days of the conference witnessed various papers presented by guest speakers and several research scholars. Today, on the last day, many papers were being presented during the various online sessions. 100+ participants from across the nation and abroad participated in this conference. 
The main keynote speakers for this conference were Prof. S.P. Singh, Dr. Kiran Gulia, Prof. Sunil Pandey, and Dr. Rahul Vaish. The main organizers of this conference are Prof. Sarabjit Singh (PEC, Chandigarh) and Prof. M.P. Garg (PEC, Chandigarh). Prof. Sanjeev Kumar is the Chairman of ICDMT and HoD Mechanical Engineering Deptt. along with Prof. Parminderjit Singh (Co-Chairman, ICDMT, & PEC) Prof. A.K. Sharma (Co-Chairman, ICDMT & IIT Roorkee), Er. N.S. Jassal (Co-Chairman, CSIO, Chandigarh) and Prof. Inderdeep Singh (Co-Chairman, ICDMT & IIT Roorkee). More than 100 papers were presented and published.  
This conference was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, PEC Chandigarh in collaboration with the Department of Design, IIT Roorkee, and CSIO-CSIR Chandigarh. This conference featured research tracks including Materials, Composites, Design, Manufacturing Technologies, Robotics, Mechatronics and Automation, and Sustainable Circular Bio-economy with Springer and SAGE as the international publishing partners. 
This three-day event consisted of keynote sessions, and oral and poster presentations of the selected research work, providing attendees with rich opportunities to explore pioneering research and innovative applications.
