
Punjab Government committed to promote beekeeping business - Jasvir Singh Raja Gill
Hoshiarpur- Horticulture Department of Punjab Government in collaboration with National Bee Board organized a seminar here today to further promote beekeeping business and to make the beekeepers aware about new technologies, business opportunities, better honey production, maintenance of bees and important seasons for this business, in which various experts highlighted the quality of medicinal honey of Kandi.

On the first day of the two-day seminar which started at local base Bhikhowal, various beekeepers of the district participated enthusiastically and shared important views about the importance of beekeeping, its wide benefits and its contribution in increasing the income of farmers. While inaugurating the seminar, MLA from Tanda Jasvir Singh Raja Gill praised the beekeepers and said that due to their tireless efforts, honey of Kandi area of ??Hoshiarpur district is being liked on a large scale, which is of very high quality.
He said that the Horticulture Department of Punjab Government would provide all possible help to the beekeepers so that this agriculture supporting business could be further promoted. MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill said that the farmers involved in beekeeping in the state produce quality honey with their hard work, for whose convenience the Horticulture Department is providing special facilities for beekeeping under various schemes.
He said that 100 percent financial assistance will be provided in collaboration with National Rural Livelihood Mission and Horticulture Department to increase the income of farmers. Famous beekeeper Manjit Singh Mahilpur said that by further promoting this profession, the income of beekeepers can be increased as well as quality and healthy honey can be made available to the people. He said that frozen honey (white honey) is a sign of purity.
