Roshan Kala Kendra Gajjar is organizing a literary and cultural festival on 8-9 March.

Hoshiarpur- This annual literary and cultural festival is being organized on 8-9 March at Roshan Kala Kendra (Gajjar), which has been established to promote literary, cultural and artistic activities in the scenic hills of Gajjar village. Talking about this, Director Roshan Kala Kendra, poet Kanwaljit Kanwar said that this time in this festival Ustad Deepak Jaitoi (Arts and Literature Award) will be given to famous Punjabi writer Harpal Singh Pannu.

Similarly, Ustad Channan Govindpuri Award will be given to Santokh Bhullar, Shaida Charan Singh Charan Samana Award to Gurdeep Dehradun, Janab Ulfat Bajwa Award to Tarsim Noor, Watno Paar Punjabi Award to Sukhnain Singh, ARF Govindpuri Award to Jaswinder Phagwara and Srujanharan Award to Dr. Khushnaseeb. He said that Surjit Mazari's book "Jazbaat" and Satpal Sahlon's book "Mere Bheg Di Sunum" would also be released at the function and the latest issue of literary magazine "Akhar" edited by Col. Shergill would also be released on the occasion.
According to the organisers, both the days of March 8 and 9 would be devoted to art, literature and cultural activities. Poetry, musical gatherings and drama performances by guest poets would be organised in the evening and night of March 8 and Dr. Jaspal Kaur Deol of Punjabi University, Patiala would be present on the occasion. On the last day of the festival on March 9, Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai ??Krishan Singh Rowley would be the chief guest.
Cultural and literary performances by students of various schools and colleges would be the centre of attraction on the occasion. Poets present on the occasion would present their latest poems and special honours would also be given to the personalities. He extended a cordial invitation to literary personalities and book lovers of the region to be present at the festival.
