
Punjab Government is committed to solve all the problems of traders on priority basis: Anil Thakur
Hoshiarpur- Chairman of Punjab Trade Commission, Excise and Taxation Department Anil Thakur held an important meeting with the representatives of various trade organizations and trade associations of Hoshiarpur district today at the District Administrative Complex. At the beginning of the meeting, Assistant Tax Commissioner Paramjit Singh and President of Vyapar Mandal Hoshiarpur Gopi Chand Kapoor welcomed the Chairman.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman Anil Thakur said that as per the long-standing demand of the traders, he has sent a recommendation to the Finance Minister Punjab to implement OTS (One Time Settlement) scheme for settlement of pending tax dues of the first quarter of the year 2017-18 and this scheme will be implemented soon.
The Chairman listened carefully to the problems of the representatives of traders and industrial units, many of which were resolved on the spot with the help of departmental officers. Rest of the complex issues were also assured to be resolved through GST Council.
Mr Thakur appealed to all the traders to cooperate in paying taxes in their respective areas so that the state's revenue can be increased. He assured that the Punjab government is committed to solve all the problems of the traders on priority basis.
