Tehsil Committee CPIM Garhshankar held a protest in front of DSP Garhshankar office regarding the issues of concern to the people and sent a memorandum to DGP of Punjab.

Garhshankar- Today Tehsil Committee CPIM Garhshankar staged a dharna in front of DSP Garhshankar office regarding burning issues of people and sent a memorandum to Punjab DGP. On this occasion, party's District Secretary and State Secretariat Member Gurnek Singh Bhajjal and State Committee Member and Tehsil Secretary Mahinder Kumar Baroan said that today the law and order situation in Punjab has gone from bad to worse.

Murders and looting are happening every day, drugs are being sold continuously, illegal mining and corruption is increasing continuously, forests and mountains are being cut continuously, overloaded tippers are breaking roads continuously and due to accidents caused by them, 18 deaths have occurred in Garhshankar. But the government administration is sleeping like Kumbhakaran.
The leaders further said that thieves broke into a goldsmith's shop in Kot Fatuhi and stole goods worth lakhs of rupees, but not a single person has been caught by the administration till now. The leaders warned that if the thieves of Kot Fatuhi are not caught, Mahilpur police station will be surrounded. 
On this occasion Neelam Baroaan, Achhar Singh Surinder Kaur Chumber, Harbhajan Atwal, Mohan Lal Baldev Raj Satnore, Premi Sher Jung Prem Rana Gurbaksh Kaur Chak Guru Palo Sunni Kashmir Singh Kisan Sabha, Rajinder Singh, former Sarpanch Mahinder Singh, former Sarpanch Purkhowal Paramjit Lambardar Chak Singha, Bakshish Kaur Satnore, Kamaljit Kaur Baroaan, Sohan Singh Lambardar Bhajjal and Rakesh Kumar also addressed the gathering.
