Mandi Gobindgarh, December 20- Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital organised White Coat Ceremony to formally induct the newly recruited batch of 2024 into the medical community. The chief guest of the ceremony was Dr. Puneet Girdhar, Joint Director Research & Medical Education and Registrar, Punjab Dental Council. Dr. Anu Girdhar, National President, Women Dental Council was present as the special guest on the occasion.
The programme began with felicitation of dignitaries including Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur. Other prominent attendees on the occasion included President of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Sandeep Singh, Vice President Dr. Harsh Sadrawati, Dean Academics Dr. Sunil Malhan and Principal Dr. Vikram Bali. The first year students were presented with white coats by the chief guest and special guests.
In his address, Chief Guest Dr. Puneet Girdhar said that the White Coat Ceremony at Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital is a proud and inspiring occasion which sets the stage for the new batch to begin their academic and professional journey with purpose and commitment.
Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh said that as a symbolic tradition in the medical field, this ceremony marks the beginning of the students' journey as healthcare professionals. An oath taking ceremony was also held on the occasion where the students of Batch 2024 took an oath to uphold the ethical and professional standards of the medical community. Professor and Head of the Department of Anatomy Dr. Ajitpal Singh thanked everyone.
