"C" set paper in preliminary examination will now be only qualifying paper: Aulakh
Patiala, December 20- In the preliminary examination to be conducted by the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) for the recruitment of Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch) posts, "C" set paper will now be taken only as qualifying paper. Giving this information, PPSC Chairman Jatinder Singh Aulakh said that the Punjab Public Service Commission had sent a recommendation to the Punjab Government to do so, which the Punjab Government has accepted.

Giving this information, PPSC Chairman Jatinder Singh Aulakh said that the Punjab Public Service Commission had sent a recommendation to the Punjab Government to do so, which the Punjab Government has accepted.
The Chairman said here today at the Commission's office that the Punjab Public Service Commission has decided to conduct the "C" set paper in the preliminary examination for the recruitment of Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch) on the lines of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and sent its recommendation to the Punjab Government, which has been accepted.
He further informed that in the preliminary examination of PCS (Executive Branch), the "C" set paper will now be taken only as a qualifying paper on the lines of UPSC; and the merit of the preliminary examination of PCS will now be prepared only on the basis of the General Studies paper. He said that in the future PCS Main Examination, the PPSC will give special attention to the history, geography, culture and economy of Punjab in the General Studies Paper-1. Jatinder Singh Aulakh said that this decision taken by the Punjab Government will provide a big relief to lakhs of youth of Punjab who are preparing for competitive examinations for government jobs.
