Asandh/Karnal, November 7: To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the national anthem "Vande Mataram," a grand sub-division-level "Vande Mataram Smriti Utsav" program was organized at Jeevan Chanan Women's College, Assandh, on Friday. MLA Yogendra Rana attended the event as the chief guest.

Describing the national anthem as a symbol of 'development and heritage', Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that "Vande Mataram is the biggest source of inspiration from the Amrit Kaal of Independence."
During this, MLA Yogendra Rana filled the crowd present there with unprecedented enthusiasm of patriotism with his powerful address.
In his address, MLA Yogendra Rana described 'Vande Mataram' as not just a national anthem, but the soul and national life of India. He said with full enthusiasm, "Listen people of the world! "As long as there is blood in our veins, we will not stop singing 'Vande Mataram'!" The MLA said that this song served as the rallying cry of revolution in the freedom struggle, and every revolutionary, singing 'Vande Mataram,' smiled and kissed the noose of the gallows. This national anthem gave new direction and inspiration to the Swaraj movement. Appealing to the youth, the MLA said that this song reminds us of valor and sacrifice, and that today, through this celebration, we must pledge that we not only sing 'Vande Mataram,' but also worship Mother India and remain forever dedicated to her glory.
