Saroa: Today, the annual fair was held at the sacred shrine of Pir Baba Noore Shah Ji with the cooperation of the Sahungra village Panchayat and the congregation (*sangat*). Various artists graced the occasion and delighted the audience with their performances. The flag-hoisting ceremony took place on the first day of the fair. In the evening, lamps were lit, and the Qawwali group led by Ashraf Ravi performed in praise of the Pirs.
On the second day, artists from various cities and villages across Punjab captivated the audience. Performers included Jassa Fatehpuria, Mangat Ali, Satnam Alam and Biba Manjit Alam, Soni Saroa, Pradeep Music Group, and Dev Virk with Biba Rita Sidhu; finally, the duo of Inder Maan and Biba Shahnaz Akhtar stole the show with their singing.
The family of the late Jasvir Singh Vicky arranged a *Chhabeel* (stall serving cold, sweet water) for the congregation, while the sons of the late merchant Ratan Singh Kaler—Gurpreet Singh and Ashok Kumar—organized a *Langar* (community kitchen) serving tea and *pakoras*. The management committee also organized a *Langar* for the devotees who had arrived from far and wide. At the request of Sarpanch Harbhajan Singh, a free medical camp was set up by the team of Vaidya Manpreet Singh Alowal and Dr. Suresh Vij, benefiting many needy patients.
Vaidya Manpreet Sood Alowal, Vaidya Balwinder Singh Panam, and Vaidya Haqiqat Rai were present at the medical camp. Watchman Jagtar Singh and the young men of his team ensured that the congregation faced no inconvenience. Finally, the fair concluded with the cooperation of Sarpanch Harbhajan Singh Sahungra, the management committee, and the congregation, with the hope that the event would be held again next year.
