Patiala, September 30:- Students were trained in fire safety and the proper use of cylinders, gases, electricity and petroleum products. Chief Trainer of the First Aid Safety Health Awareness Mission and retired Training Supervisor of the Red Cross, Shri Kaka Ram Verma, is providing daily training to students and teachers, and through them to parents, on personal safety, rescue, reducing accidents, saving precious lives and property, disaster management, first aid, CPR and fire safety.
At Delhi Public School, under the directions of Principal Shri Santosh Shukla, students were trained in fire safety, gases, electricity and controlling fires involving petroleum products, as well as their proper use and methods of saving precious lives and property during emergencies.
Shri Kaka Ram Verma said that due to lack of training and practice, 95 percent of accidents occur because of mistakes, negligence and haste. Therefore, people should necessarily receive training and practice in the proper use of electricity, petroleum products, gases and inflammable materials. He also provided information about different types of fires and cylinders and their proper use.
Medical Officer Dr. Rishma Kohli, teachers and students expressed their gratitude and said that their respected Principal provides not only good education and sports but also training to reduce accidents and loss of life and property, along with thoughts and values related to social service.
Shri Kaka Ram Verma provides training in disaster management, civil defence, first aid, CPR, fire safety, the use of cylinders, and rescuing and transporting victims. As a result, they use various items and equipment with proper precautions. Shri Kaka Ram Verma said that in the future, people can live safely and happily only by having complete knowledge of and following the rules, laws and principles of safety, health, humanity, love, compassion and discipline.
