Chandigarh, August 31:- Haryana Energy Minister Shri Anil Vij said that all iron poles, namely tubular poles and channel poles, will be replaced with PCC poles by the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL) at its own cost. However, as per the instructions of the Nigam, rail poles are not replaced at the Nigam’s expense.
Shri Vij was replying to a question raised during the Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh today.
He informed that, besides this, there are no HT/LT iron poles installed within the villages of Guldhera and Thaska Miranji in the Pehowa Assembly Constituency. However, in the outer areas of these villages, 107 iron poles have been identified on 11 KV agricultural feeders, out of which 16 are rail poles. At the same time, no incident of loss of life due to electric shock from iron poles has been reported in these villages since 2014.
He informed that the remaining 91 iron poles will be replaced with PCC poles by the Nigam by January 2027.
