Hoshiarpur:- Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) constituency in-charge Sanjeev Talwar held an important meeting with party workers regarding the current political situation. Addressing the meeting, he targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.
Sanjeev Talwar said that the summons issued to Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal by the SIT had not even reached him, but its copy was posted on the official social media pages of the Aam Aadmi Party beforehand. He claimed that this incident raises serious questions about the impartiality of the SIT, and this action appears to be inspired by political motives. He stated that the Shiromani Akali Dal will give a befitting reply to this political vendetta in a democratic manner.
He said that for the last ten years, various governments have been playing politics over the sacrilege case, but instead of bringing the real culprits to justice, the senior leadership of the Shiromani Akali Dal is being targeted. He alleged that opposition parties fear that the Shiromani Akali Dal is the only political alternative to the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, which is why such actions are being taken.
Talwar said that SAD President Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal has fully cooperated with all the previously constituted SITs and will cooperate fully in this investigation as well. However, he emphasized that making the copy of the summons public on social media beforehand is a part of dirty politics.
He announced that during the appearance in Chandigarh on July 20, thousands of Shiromani Akali Dal workers will be present in support of Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal, and hundreds of workers from the Hoshiarpur assembly constituency will also participate on this occasion.
Talwar said that the ongoing dictatorship in Punjab will soon end in a democratic way, and the people will respond to it.
The meeting was also addressed by Sardar Prem Singh (District President, SC Morcha), Bikramjit Singh Kalsi, Santokh Singh Aujla (District President, Trade Cell), Narinder Singh, and Sanjeev Thapar. On this occasion, Sukhvir Singh, Baldev Singh, Davinder Singh, Vishal, Anmol, Jodh Singh, Rishav Mattu, along with other senior leaders and a large number of workers of the Shiromani Akali Dal were present.
