Chandigarh, November 20-Sirsa district has secured first position in the state in the anti-drug oath program under the Drug-Free India Campaign. Giving information, the spokesperson said that so far 88,200 people in Sirsa district have taken the anti-drug oath offline and 10,145 people have taken the anti-drug oath online by scanning the QR code.
Also, 1200 officers and employees, 25,000 women and more than 62,000 youth actively participated in these activities. With these efforts, Sirsa has secured first position in the state, which is a matter of pride for the district.
Sirsa District Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Virendra Sehrawat, while praising all the departments of the district, especially the team of Education, Police, Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Health, Panchayat and Sports etc., along with all the concerned authorities and employees, said that the continuous excellence of the district in the campaign is the result of the collective efforts of all the departments and the support of the public. The district administration also expressed its resolve to make Sirsa a model of drug-free district by implementing the campaign more widely.
He said that District Social Welfare Officer Mr. Satyawan Dhilod said that on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Drug-Free India Campaign, an oath was organized against drugs in the Mini Secretary's auditorium and among the employees of every office of the district. The Drug-Free India Campaign, which was launched five years ago, has achieved remarkable success in the direction of public awareness.
He said that continuous awareness activities were conducted in Sirsa district with the help of schools, colleges, panchayats and various social organizations. Special campaigns were conducted to connect the youth, women and the general public with the anti-drug message, which showed active results.
