Chandigarh, November 29 - Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the dream of self-reliant India is not just a slogan but a concept to make India a leading economic power in the 21st century. The Chief Minister was addressing the Self-reliant India Conference organized in Panchkula today.
The Chief Minister said that the brainstorming received from this conference will give new momentum to the goal of Developed India, Developed Haryana. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of making India a developed nation by the year 2047 and a five trillion dollar economy by 2030. The essence of self-reliant India is self-reliance in industry, agriculture, education, technology and trade.
He said that the five pillars mentioned by the Prime Minister, namely economy, infrastructure, system, demography and demand, are the strong foundation of nation building today. Haryana is playing a leading role in strengthening all these pillars. The Prime Minister himself has called Haryana the growth engine of India.
Speaking on the agriculture sector, he said that Haryana has played a leading role in making the country self-reliant. In the industrial sector, Haryana Self-reliant portal enterprises are getting direct benefits of the schemes. More than 12 lakh MSMEs have provided employment to more than 65 lakh people and about Rs 400 crore has been provided under Ease of Doing Business reforms.
Haryana's national contribution in start-ups, MSMEs and infrastructure
He said that industrial infrastructure is being developed at the cluster level in every block through the Padma program. More than 1100 unnecessary regulations have been abolished in 48 departments to create an industry-friendly environment. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, while describing demography as an important pillar, said that Haryana's goal is to create job-givers, not job seekers. After the Haryana Start-up Policy 2022, more than 9500 start-ups have been established in the state. Recently, 22 start-ups have been given assistance of Rs. 1.14 crore and a fund of funds of Rs. 2000 crore is being established.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini appealed to the lawyers and the present public representatives to join hands with this holy festival of Gita Jayanti by reciting Gita for one minute at 11 am on December 1 and propagate the message of religion, duty and nation building in the society.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, during his recent visit to Udupi in Karnataka, had specifically mentioned the Mahabharata Experience Centre built in Kurukshetra and appealed to the countrymen to definitely visit this unique centre.
